Common Questions
Is Kanban Pro really free?
Yes. Kanban Pro is free during Early Access: no trial period, no subscription, no feature-limited tier. Every feature in the app, including all views, custom fields and the embedded AI agent terminals, is included.
Do I need an account or a credit card?
No. There is no sign-up, no email registration and no payment step. Kanban Pro does not even require a network connection to run, since every project lives as plain files on your own disk.
Will Kanban Pro stay free?
A paid tier may ship in the future, but Early Access is free today and builds you download now do not expire. Check the homepage for current availability.
What is the catch?
There is no data-for-product trade. Kanban Pro is local-first: every ticket is a plain Markdown file stored in a folder you choose, and nothing is sent to a server. There is no proprietary cloud you are later pushed to pay for; optional collaboration works through any file-sync provider you already use, such as iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive.
Where do I download Kanban Pro?
From GitHub Releases, linked on the homepage. The macOS build is signed and notarised with an Apple Developer ID and ships for both Apple Silicon and Intel. The Windows build is a standard signed installer.
Which platforms are supported?
macOS 12 or later (Apple Silicon and Intel) and Windows 10 (1809+) or Windows 11.
