The Short Answer
Yes. Kanban Pro ships on Windows as a signed desktop installer, free during Early Access. Windows 10 (build 1809 and newer) and Windows 11 are supported, and the Windows build carries every feature of the macOS app, including the embedded AI agent terminals.
Tip
Because every ticket is a plain Markdown file, a project folder created on Windows opens unchanged on macOS, and the other way around.

Does Kanban Pro run on Windows?
Yes. Kanban Pro ships a standard signed .exe installer for Windows, downloaded directly from GitHub Releases. It is free during Early Access, requires no account and runs fully offline.
Which Windows versions are supported?
Windows 11 is recommended and tested end to end. Windows 10 is supported from build 17763 (version 1809) onwards. Older Windows 10 builds fall back to a limited compatibility mode for the terminal, and Windows 8.1 and earlier are unsupported. A native Windows ARM64 build is not yet available.
Do the embedded AI agent terminals work on Windows?
Yes. On Windows 10 (1809+) and Windows 11 the per-ticket terminals run on ConPTY, the modern Windows console layer, so agentic CLIs such as Claude Code and OpenAI Codex behave as they do in Windows Terminal. The terminal inherits your default shell; PowerShell 7 with Windows Terminal is the recommended setup.
Can Windows and Mac users share the same board?
Yes. Boards are folders of plain Markdown files, and any paths Kanban Pro writes to disk use forward slashes on every operating system, so a project folder moves cleanly between Windows and macOS. Share it through any file-sync provider you already use, such as OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive or iCloud Drive.
Is the Windows version free?
Yes. The same free Early Access applies on Windows and macOS, with no subscription, no account and no feature-limited tier.
Is there anything Windows-specific to configure?
No. Antivirus scanners such as Windows Defender can briefly lock freshly written files, and Kanban Pro automatically retries writes with a Windows-tuned backoff, so agent edits and board updates keep flowing without manual settings.
