What you get for zero
Kanban Pro is a local-first Kanban app for macOS, Windows and Linux. Every ticket is a plain Markdown file with YAML frontmatter, stored in a folder you choose on your own disk. There is no server and no proprietary cloud.
The free download includes all of it:

- Embedded per-ticket terminals that launch agentic CLIs natively, including Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor Agent, aider, Amp, OpenCode, Antigravity and Goose. Sessions are auto-briefed with a generated
KP-CONTEXT.mdand persist on disk for later resume. - Custom fields, full-text search, stackable filters, bulk operations and export to JSON, CSV, Markdown, YAML and plain text.
- Ticket locking, activity log, comments with reactions and local profiles.
- Dark and light themes, nine colour palettes, and full localisation across 39 locales with RTL support.
- Optional multi-device sync through any file-sync provider you already use, such as iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or a Git repository.

.exeinstaller. - Linux (Ubuntu 22.04 or later), as an AppImage. The Linux build is community-tested rather than formally supported.

Why it is free
Kanban Pro runs entirely on your machine. It has no servers to pay for, no database to host, and no per-user infrastructure cost, so there is no cost that has to scale with the number of people using it. Charging a recurring fee for software that never touches our infrastructure would be charging for something we do not provide.
Kanban Pro is in Early Access. A paid tier may be introduced at some point in the future. If that happens, Early Access remains free forever for everyone who has it, and this page will be updated to state the new pricing precisely.
